HAPPY DEFENDERS OF UKRAINE DAY!

October 14 holds deep significance for Ukrainians.

It is the Day of the Cossacks, the anniversary of the founding of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), and the Day of Defenders of Ukraine.

The combination of these commemorations symbolizes the unbreakable bond between generations of defenders, from the Cossack era to the present. Today, hundreds of thousands of Cossack descendants continue to uphold the finest traditions of their ancestors, who remain an example of valor and dignity.

On this day, we honor the heroes of Ukraine—those who have defended and continue to defend our homeland from enemy forces. There is no greater act of courage, strength, and honor than standing up to protect one’s family, land, and country. That is why today belongs to all those who, at different times, have dedicated their knowledge, strength, bravery, and professionalism to safeguarding our nation.

We must also remember that a new front has emerged. Military and civilian medics are now fighting not only to save the lives and health of Ukraine’s defenders—treating the wounded and injured—but also battling the COVID-19 pandemic. Every day, they risk their own lives and well-being, knowing that the lives of many depend on them.

This day is about true heroes, and over the past eight years, it has become engraved not just in the calendar, but in our hearts.

Tank you for guarding our skies!
Thank you for standing in defense of your families, your people, and the integrity of Ukraine!

Glory to Ukraine!
